Effective stress management techniques that are PROVEN to work!... |
As I've said before, and I'll say time and time again, stress is choice
based - you either choose to be stressed or you don't. In ANY situation you always have a choice...
I fully appreciate that it's sometimes very difficult to rationalize when you are feeling strong emotions like stress, however you MUST, because...
Stress is 'bad for business', since your life is the biggest business you'll ever run, then it goes without saying that we all need to have some effective stress management techniques. So, here is some of my best stress management techniques, I know you'll find them useful...
Strengthen your Foundations
A strong house begins with strong foundations, likewise for us too. As I said earlier, in any given situation you choose to either be stressed or not. The option you choose is based on one thing, your FOUNDATIONS - or in other words, your values...
It makes sense to strengthen your foundations FIRST, over any other of my stress management techniques, or anyone else's for that matter! Stress management techniques help you to manage stress, however, wouldn't it be far better not to get stressed in the first place?...
Of course it would!...
By strengthening your foundations, you eradicate stress from your life. Sound to good to be true? OK, put it to the test then, click here and take my FREE foundations personality test to start with
and then...
Download my FREE product, "Live Your DREAM Life!", it covers foundations and how to build them, and also teaches you how to live your DREAM life!
Did you take the personality test? How well did you score?...
The test is not a gimmick, it evaluates whether your happiness depends on things in life that are NOT guaranteed. If it does, then potentially you are in for a fall, and maybe a big one! By strengthening your foundations, you would be taking a giant step towards preventing stress in your life...
I guarantee it!

Mind how you walk and talk
Your physiology plays a major part in your mental state...
Your physiology, or in other words, your body language, greatly influences your state of mind. So for example, think back to a time when you were feeling really happy, can you remember what you did with your body?...
Was you stood up tall, or was you slouched down?...
Was you breathing fast or slow?...
And was you taking deep or short breathes?...
What about your face? Was you smiling or was your face frowned?...
Basically, everytime your body follows your 'happy pattern', it signals to your brain that you are happy, and guess what? you naturally start to feel happy, or happier at least. This is much more affective when you use 100%+ intensity. The next step is to think about things that make you feel the complete opposite to stress.
You see, your subconscious mind cannot decipher what is real from what is fake, it just processes information you send to it, because of this, you are able to 'fool' it! BUT BEWARE, because it works both ways. So, if you start to mimic your body's 'stressed' actions, then you will begin to feel stressed.
Now, I want you to experiment with this, as they say, the proof is in the pudding. Of course, only mimic your body's 'happy' reactions and remember to go 'full-tilt' at it.
As part of my stress management techniques is this tip...
If you feel depressed or stressed, simply smile. Not just any smile, the biggest smile possible and hold it there, and think of happy thoughts. You'll be surprised at how effective this is.

Cheer up, it might never happen!
So many people get stressed out over the smallest of things, and when you consider the severity that prolonged stress has on your body, in hindsight it seems silly. This can easily be addressed by simply reminding yourself that nothing is important enough to jeopardize you health over...
I often work with people who not only get stressed about things (big or small) that is NOT a reality, just a potential possibility. For example, suppose you are stressed out about a gas bill that is due any time soon because you think it COULD be a big one...
If we put this into perspective then we should say to ourselves...
"Firstly, I'm not stressing about it, because my health is far more important."
Then you might say...
"I only have a feeling that the bill is going to be a big one, but I'll wait for the bill to come first, because there might not be anything to worry about"...
How many times have you become stressed about something that never even ended up happening? Did you feel silly? I used to do this, and I've felt really dumb, but now I pay the penalty for this, because of my illness - tut, tut, tut, silly me! :-(...
Instead, it makes much more sense for you to prepare for the event, IF it was to happen!

Plan for clarity
Don't underestimate this next bit of my stress management techniques...
A good plan, can be an invaluable tool for preventing or elevating stress. You see, when you have a good plan in place, you have a road map detailing exactly how to get to where you want to get to. That in itself will excite you, and you can't be excited and stressed at the same time!...
Also, you gain clarity, which is very important to your mental wellbeing. Read more on this subject by clicking here...
Another benefit to having a good plan, is that you can forget about it and come back to it at a later date, safe in the knowledge that everything has been documented. This can 'free up' your brain and allow you to focus your energies in other areas.

Moving Forward...
Build strong foundations first, make this your priority above everything else, this goes hand-in-hand with my stress management techniques, but first take the foundations personality test.
Don't overlook your body language, because your physiology can trigger different mental states, some good whilst others bad...
Don't get hung up on things that might never happen, instead prepare for it, in case it does happens!
