You might be surprised to hear that a good healthy diet plays a VITAL role in your happiness and can greatly assist you with developing and living, your DREAM life!...

Of course, a good diet can certainly go a long way to preventing illnesses like heart disease, cancer, etc. but it's importance with peak performance also must be respected. To live a dream life, every department of your life must be extraordinary!...

So, since diet is a major part of all of our lives, let's look in more detail at this underestimated self improvement tool...

Diet & Self Improvement


So, why does a healthy diet go hand-in-hand with self improvement and peak performance?...

The answer is simple!...

Food, or anything you consume, is like a drug, in fact it IS a drug. Disagree?...

OK, why then is there certain types of food that are proven to give you a particular response when consumed, for example, maybe it makes you happy, or sleepy, or maybe even hyperactive...

Take caffeine for example, have you ever overdosed on it? If you have, then you will know it can lead to insomnia, hyperactiveness, the shakes, and loads of other things, not to mention bad breath! :-)...

Obviously, it's not just 'negative' effects food can have on us after it's consumption...

You see, when you know how, certain types of foods can trigger certain positive effects within your body. Energy is important in all aspects of life, both physical and mental. If you lack energy, then you lack motivation, and every task becomes a major effort...

When it comes to self improvement, a lack of energy and motivation, means that completing a simple task or goal becomes like moving heaven and earth...

Food for THOUGHT!


Mental focus is another really important function when it comes to self improvement, and certainly when developing your dream life, so literally, it's food for thought! Here are some of my tips for a healthy diet that promotes 'BRAIN POWER'...
  • A good way to fuel your brain is to balance your glucose intake. Try to put off eating carbohydrate foods until later in the day, because too much can make you feel sleepy.
  • Foods high in vitamins and minerals are great for mind function.
  • Your brain needs ample amounts of oxygen, so try to eat little and often. Always aim at eating your main meal of the day before 7pm.
  • Drink plenty of water to keep your brain well hydrated. Aim to drink at least 1.5 to 2 litres per day.
  • I hope you like fish, because oily fish in particular, contains essential fatty acids (EFA's). A diet rich in omega 3 is very good for the brain, and you can get them in capsules too!
  • Protein is very important also, so make sure you eat plenty of it, preferably lean protein from a chicken breast, for example. Try to consume a good amount of protein at lunch time as this will bolster your mental proess throughout the rest of the day.
Just by making these minor adjustments to your diet, you will notice much better mental performance and concentration. Say goodbye to those moments when you forget what you were about to say halfway through a conversation!

Sticking to a healthy diet isn't easy at the best of times, hence why the world seems to have a problem with obesity. Diet planning is one way around this, but not just any type of diet planning, I mean diet planning "Live your DREAM life!" style...

To achieve good healthy nutrition for life, you really need to plan out your diet. That means understanding what you want to achieve from your diet and the way you want to achieve it. Let me briefly explain...

As the saying goes, "There's more than one way to skin a cat", this also applies to planning a healthy diet. For example, earlier, I told you that essential fatty acids (EFA) are good for healthy brain function, but there are many different ways you can consume it...

You may decide to get it from fish, flaxseed (linseed), hemp oil, soya oil, canola (rapeseed) oil, chia seeds, pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds, leafy vegetables, walnuts, or all of them...
